How to Make the Perfect Homemade Matzo Balls
It's nearly Passover, and you’re gearing up to host a large party with friends and relatives. One of the traditional dishes that often ends in “Oy Vey,” is Matzo Ball Soup. Learn how to make Grandma-approved Matzo Balls by following these cooking musts:
Add club soda and egg whites to matzo meal for fabulous, fluffy texture.
Stir ingredients lightly – don’t over-mix or you’ll weigh down the balls.
Wet hands with water or oil before shaping the balls to avoid “stickiness. Don’t roll balls too big – they’ll puff up in the pot of boiling water.
Add plenty of salt to the boiling water before cooking matzo balls.
To see if matzo balls are ready, cut a “tester” ball in half to check if it is cooked all the way.
